It’s a fact.
Repealing “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation is not radical, it’s the right thing to do.
“Red Flag” tramples over our Constitutional rights and it’s time to send it to the dustbin of history.
You see, House Bills 4138, 4139, and 4140 were introduced by pro-gun Representative Jim DeSana back in February with over half the Republican caucus as co-sponsors and referred to the House Judiciary Committee, where they still sit without a hearing being scheduled.
Remember, these bills would end the dangerous and due process-shredding “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation law that allows government agents to seize firearms based on a mere accusation.
No prior notice of an order being filed, no chance to face one’s accuser, no innocence until proven guilty, and not even a crime being committed, turning the American justice system upside down.
But the mainstream media and anti-gun Democrats will claim repealing the law is radical, not Michiganders being stripped of their rights and having their legally-owned firearms confiscated without due process.
This makes sense if you know Democrats blocked gun rights activists from testifying against their anti-gun agenda back in 2023, including “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation.
And in response Great Lakes Gun Rights joined Michigan Open Carry to sue the Democrat-controlled legislature for violating the First Amendment and the Michigan Open Meetings Act.
This is all in the effort to maintain a law that tramples over the rights of law-abiding Michiganders under the guise of stopping “bad guys” from getting guns.
But just like any gun control, these laws fail to deliver on the gun grabbers’ promises to decrease violence and make our communities safer.
On top of that, government agents are now red-flagging children as young as six years old to justify taking their parents’ firearms.
So the time has never been better for pro-gun patriots to push to repeal this outrageously unconstitutional law.
Look, you and I both know with Whitmer still in the Governor’s mansion, “Red Flag” won’t be repealed in 2025, but now’s the time to lay the groundwork.
We have the first step of getting legislation to repeal this disastrous law done. Now it’s on to the next step of getting a committee hearing and vote.
This is all in preparation for when we have pro-gun majorities in the legislature and a pro-gun Governor.
Remember, every Republican in the legislature voted against “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation in 2023 and not a single one lost their election.
Plus, four Democrats who voted for “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation lost their seats to Republicans who campaigned as pro-gun.
So we need to keep the momentum and press the pedal to the metal to build the pressure for lawmakers in Lansing.
Repealing “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation isn’t going to be easy, but if something is worth fighting for it’s rarely easy.
So we can’t rest on our laurels and give up the momentum we’ve built over the last couple years.
If we really want to restore our right to keep and bear arms and repeal gun control we’re going to have to keep up the pressure in Lansing.
So once you send your emails to the Judiciary Chair, Rep. Lightner and Vice Chair, Rep. BeGole, I’m hoping you’ll consider making a generous contribution to help continue building support for these bills.
Even a contribution of $30, or even just $15 will help with the resources I need to mobilize more pro-gun patriots across Michigan to join our grassroots army.
And after sending your emails and making your donation, please forward this email to all your pro-gun family and friends to get them in on the fight as well.
I’ll keep you informed on any developments in Lansing and let you know when it’s time to strike in defense of gun rights.
Thank you again for your continued support and vigilance.
