Congressman John James has selected State Representative Jay DeBoyer as his running mate for Lieutenant Governor.

Rep. DeBoyer is a proven Second Amendment champion in the Michigan House. He is one of the joint sponsors of the Constitutional Carry bill package (House Bills 5653-5657) introduced by State Rep. Joe Fox earlier this year.
DeBoyer is also a co-sponsor of State Rep. Jim DeSana’s bills to repeal Governor Whitmer’s “Red Flag” gun confiscation scheme (HB 4138-4140).
Throughout his time in the Michigan House of Representatives, DeBoyer has maintained a 100% pro-gun voting record.
This is a strong pick.
Combined with James’ own 100% pro-gun responses on the Great Lakes Gun Rights Candidate Survey — supporting Constitutional Carry, opposing Red Flag laws, and backing the repeal of Michigan’s Permit to Purchase requirements — the James-DeBoyer ticket offers a clear contrast to the anti-gun agenda of Democrat Jocelyn Benson and her allies.
Benson is a known gun grabber who will do the gun ban lobby’s bidding if she were to be elected Governor this Fall.
